Using a clinically-based approach, our Registered Nurse Advocates and Client Care Specialists identify and facilitate the delivery of essential medical, life care, and in-home care services. Our experienced life care management team can help manage the medical, financial, and personal aspects of one’s life.
Registered Nurse Advocates
Our Registered Nurse Advocates are highly experienced professionals with supervisory or management experience in the nursing field. Registered Nurse Advocates have received specialized training giving them a unique understanding of patient advocacy, and all Registered Nurse Advocates are certified to administer the MoCA, the prevailing cognitive assessment tool. They help our clients and their families navigate the complex and fragmented healthcare system.
Client Care Specialists
Our Client Care Specialists are experienced professionals who provide guidance, planning, oversight, and implementation of the plans designed to focus on our client’s important life challenges. Client Care Specialists act independently and objectively to help make decisions in the best interest of our clients.
Whether helping clients identify community-based programs & services, selecting alternative living environments, finding appraisers for antiquities and jewelry, guiding in the liquidation of assets, or obtaining quotes for home modifications, Client Care Specialists stand ready to help our clients make informed decisions.
Our Leadership Team
James Sullivan
President
James Sullivan is President of IKOR – Life Care Management Solutions, providing strategic leadership to the organization and ensuring optimal care solutions for its clients throughout the Greater New York City Metropolitan region including Westchester and Putnam Counties as well as Fairfield County, Connecticut. His passion for and experience within healthcare management is anchored in a fundamental “client first” belief that IKOR can improve not just the care of its clients, but more importantly, it can improve the overall quality of life for each of its clients, their families and the many professionals with whom they work. Together as an interdisciplinary team, he and his staff passionately manage and advocate on behalf of their clients’ medical, financial, psycho-social and environmental needs via services that among others, include comprehensive life assessments, coordination of all medical and non-medical needs, POAs and even guardianships services.
Mr. Sullivan is a Certified Senior Advisor® (CSA) an approved Guardian under Section 81 Part 36 of the New York State Unified Court System and brings thirty years of developing and leading value-based organizations through service and operational excellence. He has delivered upon this mission within publicly traded, middle-market privately held and entrepreneurial growth companies. Mr. Sullivan did his undergraduate work in Economics at the University of Vermont, holds various professional designations and certifications, has lectured for NYU’s graduate programs, and serves as an independent Director on various boards. Born and bred in Westchester County, NY, he currently resides in nearby Greenwich, CT with his wife and three children.
Connie R. Deutmeyer
Managing Registered Nurse Advocate
Connie R. Deutmeyer RN, MSN leads IKOR’s team of Registered Nurse Advocates for both Westchester and Fairfield counties. With thirty years’ experience as an RN, Connie possesses strong clinical and managerial skills. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas, with a dual emphasis in Nursing Administration and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Connie has served patients in geriatric, intensive care and cardiovascular nursing. Also, she has worked with a team of cardiologists in clinical and management roles and in the wellness sector providing care across the health and wellness continuum. Beyond her many professional accomplishments, Connie volunteers her time and expertise to many non-profit and humanitarian causes including the Order of Malta in Lourdes, France, St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York and various international medical teams and outreach programs.
Like all of our Nurse Advocates for IKOR, she has received specialized training and has a unique understanding of medical advocacy and our process. Connie works with our clients to determine their personal medical needs and to coordinate the delivery of care services to promote our clients’ well-being. Connie helps our clients and their families in a collaborative approach to facilitate optimal care.
Nancy Low
Director, Client Services
Nancy Low heads our group of Client Care Specialists and their support efforts with all non-medical needs of our clients. Educated at the Emma Willard School, followed by a degree in communications from Mount Vernon College, Nancy is a seasoned service professional with extensive managerial, administrative, and training & development experience. With a background in education and corporate marketing, working for such industry leaders as Estee Lauder, Inc. and Marriott Corporation, Nancy has spent recent years working within non-profits as well as assisting private families with their unique personal needs. Amongst others, these personal needs services have included property management, relocation as well as oversight of financial and medical priorities associated with seniors and those with disabilities.
Through her commitment to superior client care and service, Nancy ensures and facilitates that each of our clients can make informed Life Care decisions with confidence and peace of mind.
